The World of Seeds and Bulbs!

Nowadays, many people can’t decide on whether they would like to get seeds or bulbs. That’s not to say that one of them outshines the other.

The fact is that it all depends on what type of plant or garden you want, where you live, and also what kind of soil you have.

Seeds are quite important because it's the first stage of growing a plant. You can choose either organic or inorganic ones.

Organic vs Non-Organic seeds

Inorganic seeds are produced by traditional agricultural methods. That is, spray plants with synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.

It has been found to have a detrimental effect on almost everything touched by everything from soil and ecosystems to those who run farms and live off farms to those who eat produce.

They’re inexpensive due to the fact whilst farmers do want to shop for all of the chemical compounds to spray with, they don`t want to rent as a lot of hard work to address weeds and pests.

Organic seeds are the same seeds as non-organic seeds, but are cultivated by organic farming.

Organic practices include replacing synthetic additives with natural organic additives and growing natural ecosystems and soils to reduce pressure from weeds and pests

The Difference between Organic and Certified Organic Seeds

The difference between organic seeds and certified organic seeds is that they both are made by using organic methods, but only certified organic seeds have been verified by a third party.

This does not mean that the seeds will grow sustainably or regeneratively. This only means that the seeds are grown according to regulations and that they are grown in an organic spirit (heals the environment or at least does no further harm).

Organic farms look like traditional farms, except that they are sprayed with different chemicals.

Organic certification is not always better than non-certification. Label-certified organic seals mean more profit, so large agricultural companies are working with third-party organizations to ensure that regulations are as viable as possible on a large scale.

Smallholders often find that certification is unrealistic and too expensive, but they still produce seeds that meet the same or better standards as certified organic subsidiaries. And they breed seeds in a sustainable or regenerative way.

Since the use of the word "organic" itself is not restricted, anyone can claim that their product is organic.

If you are buying seeds from an unfamiliar, uncertified organic farmer, ask what practices you are using to grow the seeds.

Seeds vs Bulbs

As they grow back to the next season, the bulbs re-grow from the remaining root lineage. Compared to seeds, onions are easier to transfer than seeds.

However, because they are active plants, bulbs may demand more maintenance when planting.

Planting a garden doesn't have to be crude ... If you replace some bulbs, you can have a flowing landscape with joy
